The perfect recipe to boost your energy for the day.

Recipe (4 servings)
Ingredients:
-8 slices of toast
-3 slices of ham (diced)
-3-4 eggs
-1/2 cup of grated cheese
-handful of green onion (optional)
-salt & pepper to taste
-any other ingredients you would like to include (ex. spinach, sausage, mushrooms, etc.)

Step 1. Cut out the middle section of your toast for only half of the slices you have. You will not need the cut out pieces of the bread anymore so do whatever you want with them. Take the slices of bread that don't have the center cut out and toast them for just a few minutes or until the toast is a bit more firm. You can also press down on it so that it isn't as airy, this is so the egg mixture will not seep through it.
Step 2. On a cutting board, dice or cut your toppings into small pieces and set aside for later. In a bowl, crack and beat your eggs then add your chopped up toppings into the mixture. Make sure to set some cheese aside for a nice cheesy top.
Step 3. Place one toast with the hollow enter onto another toast that doesn't, making it like a bowl on a tray for your toaster oven or air fryer (if it is oven like). Do that to all of you pieces. Start pouring your egg mixture into the toasts making sure each have an equal amount of mixture and toppings.
Step 4. Take your tray of toasts and put into oven or appliance for a few minutes on medium or until the egg mixture is cooked and your toast is golden brown.
Step 5. Take out of oven and let it cool for a few moments. Serve and enjoy!

While researching different recipe inspos and what would be needed or highly recommended in a breakfast for you to have the maximum energy needed for a long day ahead of you, I found that most would say protein and some carbs. Yes, eating too much carbs can be bad for you and not exactly what people want to eat when they are on a diet but, you should still have some carbs to make sure you are full and ready for the day. The first time I attempted in making this dish, one of the toasts actually came out failing a little. If you flipped it over to the bottom side, you can see that the egg mixture has actually seeped through it leaving the bottom soggy and not that good looking. Because of that, I added in an extra step of either pressing down on the bottom toast or toasting it for a little before going into the oven again with the egg mixture. Enjoy making this dish with your family and have fun!

A toast to you!
