Avocado Toasts

A delicious, simple, and light breakfast.

Ingredients:
(makes 2 different toasts)
*The Margherita Toast*
-1/2 or 1 avocado(s) for 2 toasts
-handful of grape/cherry tomatoes
-1 or 2 slices of toast
-A few basil leaves
-1 tsp. of lemon juice
-a pinch of salt to taste
*The Smoked Tomato*
-1/2 or 1 avocado(s) for 2 toasts
-1 cup of grape/cherry tomatoes
-1 tbs. smoked paprika
-1 or 2 slices of toast
-1 tsp. lemon juice
-salt & pepper to taste

*The Margherita Toast*
Step 1: Toast slices of toast and let it cool slightly while you are preparing the avocado part. Step 2: Mash avocado in a bowl with a fork and apply to your toast. On a cutting board, slice you cherry or grape tomatoes into halves or thirds depending on how thing you want your slices to be.
Step 3: Place tomato slices onto the mashed avocado and add in a few leaves of basil.
Step 4: Squeeze a fresh slice of lemon or a tsp. of lemon juice onto the avocado. Sprinkle some salt and you're
done!
*The Smoked Tomato Toast*
Step 1:Toast slices of toast and let it
cool slightly while you are preparing
the avocado part.
Step 2:Mash avocado in a bowl with a
fork and mix in fresh lemon juice from
a lemon slice or a tsp. of lemon juice
along with a pinch of salt.
Step 3: In a pan, char some of your
cherry or grape tomatoes, having a few
spots of black is good enough. Make
sure you are not using all of your
tomatoes for charring, Once cooled, cut
it up into small chunks and add into
the mashed avocados.
Step 4: After adding in the charred
tomatoes, chop up the leftover tomatoes
that you did not char and add into the
mashed up avocados as well. Sprinkle and
mix in your paprika and apply to toast.
You can either serve as is or add on
other toppings as you wish. Enjoy!
I personally have never been a huge fan of avocados and usually never wanted to eat them, but I've seen many pictures of avocado toasts that look really yummy and healthy so I decided to try them and they turned out really great! I didn't have many ingredients to work with so I kind of just threw a bunch of stuff together. Surprisingly, it turned out great, but I thought it could be better so after a few more tries I came up with some great recipes. There are so many different recipes and versions of this dish so be creative and have fun I'm sure it'll taste great!
