Homemade, Easy, and Goes Amazingly Well With Pizza.
Ingredients: (enough sauce for 4 small pizzas)
-1 can of Diced Tomatoes
-1 1/2 tsp. Oregano
-1 tsp. Garlic Salt
-1 1/2 tsp. of Black Pepper
-1 tsp. Sugar
-A pinch of salt
-Drizzle of Olive Oil
Step 1: Open and drain out most of the liquid from a can of diced tomatoes. Blend in a food processor for a few seconds until tomato chunks are gone.
Step 2: In a sauce pan, pour in your tomato sauce and start adding all of the spices in. Be sure to taste along the way and adjust accordingly.
Step 3: Cook sauce until there is very little juice left. Let cool and store in jar or use immediately in your favorite pizza recipe. Enjoy!
When making homemade pizza, you can just open a can of tomato paste or sauce and use that for your pizza but, why not spend a few extra minutes to make a homemade pizza sauce that is even more flavorful and delicious? If you don't have diced up tomatoes to blend up, regular tomato sauce works just as well. Blending your own tomatoes just gives you a choice in the chunkiness of the sauce. This pizza sauce is a great hit so make sure you try it soon!
